City & Guilds 2919: Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation - 07/11/2020

Aimed at experienced electricians who are interested in understanding a wide range of equipment and systems available, this course (C&G 2919) concerns the specialised installation requirements of EVC equipment in domestic dwellings, on-street locations, commercial and industrial premises.

The course provides advice and recommendations on all facets of the installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment, from the origin of the supply through to the distribution and the final circuits, the installation of the charging equipment itself & to the cable between the charging equipment and vehicle’s electrical inlet.

Also included are related issues of site layout and planning and subsequent inspection, testing, certification and the maintenance of installations.

The course includes an overview of all types of equipment, connectors and cables that an installer is likely to encounter and provides detailed references to all relevant standards and regulatory requirements in the UK.

DJT are in partnership with ROLEC Services, one of the leading distributors of EVC equipment in the UK, and there EVC units are used in our workshops throughout – as well as delegates receiving detailed descriptions of the types of equipment they provide across the UK.

To achieve this qualification delegates are required to pass a practical assessment and an open-book multi-choice on-line exam.

The course uses as its reference:
The  IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation – 4th Edition. Learners will require a copy for the course.
