IMPORTANT: CORONAVIRUS UPDATE - 06/01/2021

As a result of the National Lockdown we will not be running the 18th Edition or 2391 courses in January 2021.
As a provider of Vocational Training we do not come under the same banner as Colleges & Universities,
so we intend to be open again from February with additional provisions in place to cater for the new COVID19 requirements.

If you have a course booked in February (or you are looking to book a course from February onward) these will be going ahead as planned.
If your course was in January you will already have been offered an alternate date.

During these challenging times we want to reassure our existing & new customers that we are dedicated to delivering on our promises.
We have been able to continue course delivery throughout this crisis by investing in a Covid-Safe environment at our Centre.
We ran short-courses for over 500 delegates from March to December 2020 with no issues or reports of delegates attending and then testing positive during that time.
We will continue to do so into the future to ensure you can undertake your training safely and effectively into 2021.

These provisions include:

  • Every surface has been deep-cleaned &/or repainted in full since the lockdown was implemented & is re-cleaned daily during courses
  • We have halved group sizes from a maximum of 24 to a maximum of 12 delegates at any one time to allow correct distances between the chairs & desks
  • We have developed a pre-course questionnaire which must be completed 48 hours prior to a course by anyone attending training
  • We will now run courses for groups as small as 6 delegates (whereas 10 used to be the minimum number)
  • We have purchased the FLIR E5 thermal-imaging camera for facial-temperature imaging, which we administer in seconds before training commences (pic attached)
  • We have non-contact LPOW HTD thermometer to take daily forehead-temperatures in seconds & record & display the results to the delegates
  • We have lowered the number of delegates taking their exams at any one sitting, in order for all delegates being examined to ensure the correct distancing between terminals
  • Delegates should wear a mask to enter and leave the premises. If they do not have a mask we will provide one.
  • Tutors have the option to wear a safety visor during course delivery.

The feedback from delegates about their feeling safe and relaxed while undergoing training has been
outstanding to date, so we look forward to seeing you soon on one of our courses at DJT.

City & Guilds 2391-52: Full Inspection & Testing Training Course - COURSE FULL

COURSE FULL - Please see alternative dates

If a delegate were only going to inspect, test & sign-off new work, they would only need to achieve the 2391-50.
If a delegate were only going to inspect, test & carry out periodic testing, they would only need to achieve the 2391-51.

In reality, most Governing Bodies will require a fully qualified electrician working as a Duty Holder  or a QS when inspecting and testing an installation to have qualifications in both the above areas.

Now, instead of having to take two separate Awards, the 2391-52 will cover this requirement. This is the most popular of the three qualifications on offer, and in time will no doubt become the industry standard.

As with all the 2391 Format Qualifications, in order to achieve the full qualification delegates will be asked to complete the following three units. The only difference s the scope of the questions they will be asked during the assessments:

2391-52:

On-Line multiple choice exam covering both areas – 60-Question, Open Book

1.5 Hour Written Exam (pre-set by the City & Guilds) covering both areas

Practical Assessment (2Hours) including Initial Verification & Periodic Testing
